About

I came to UX from the shop floor. Before design, I was an aircraft mechanic and a fabricator — trades where "it looks right" means nothing and "it holds up" means everything. That's still how I work: build the jig, run the test, keep the log.

I run Orbital Drop, a Denver music events and apparel brand, which means my capstone projects had somewhere real to land. The storefront I designed runs live commerce. The event app I designed was tested by real attendees tapping real NFC tags at real shows. When my usability testing platform capped my data mid-project, I built my own test harness rather than lose another round — that instinct, raiding whatever trade has already solved the problem, is the throughline of everything here.

Outside of design work I DJ, produce, and fabricate custom hardware — including the NFC tags in my own case studies.
